"Clapton is a welcoming place. You make great friends and memories.”
- Student, 2014
We provide an inspiring environment where students are safe, valued and accepted. We support all students to develop the skills and strategies they need to shape their future and flourish as independent people in whatever areas they choose.
The academy endeavours to be first for learning because we truly believe that learning improves lives. Our students become ever more knowledgeable and enterprising, with the ability to apply their aptitudes in a range of contexts. They develop personal qualities in order to become respectful, caring and responsible citizens.
Courteous behaviour is a priority and students conduct themselves with thoughtfulness and consideration, creating an extremely positive academy ethos.
Clapton Girls’ Academy continues to be judged by Ofsted as outstanding in all categories (latest inspection May 2013) and the academy is now part of the prestigious World Class Schools network.
Our academy enjoys tremendous success thanks to incredibly dedicated staff and wonderful students who enjoy, celebrate and value their achievements.
We provide for all of our students: wherever they are from and wherever they intend to go.
On Wednesday 26th April, Clapton Girls’ Academy hosted a Refugees Welcome event to celebrate the academy’s recent fundraising efforts and to encourage key stakeholders in Hackney to do more for Syrian refugees.
Huge congratulations to our inspirational staff who ran the Hackney Half marathon on Sunday 30th April.
Staff raised £1,700 for Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, a local mental health charity that works with young people.
Six Clapton Girls’ Academy physics students from Year 11, 12 and 13 were specially invited to the Science Museum on the 15th March for a unique evening ‘The Legend of Valentina’ honouring Dr. Valentina Tereshkova on the occasion of her 80th birthday.
