"Clapton is a welcoming place. You make great friends and memories.”
Tuesday 8 - Friday 25 June - A reminder that all Year 11s should be participating in the online transition programme between 10am and 2.30pm until Friday 25 June. Links for all sessions have been shared via Satchel:one.
Monday 14 June - Friday 2 July - KS3 Assessments
Friday 18 June - lessons 1 and 2 will be extended PSHCE looking at life beyond CGA.
Friday 25 June: Professional Learning Day - we will be closed to students. Students should return to school at 8.40am on Monday 28 June.
It is really important for students to keep testing twice a week. Please log the results of home testing here
Face masks still need to be worn in all communal areas e.g. corridors, Dining Pavilion or Nightingale Hall at lunch time and at line-up. Students can choose to continue wearing face masks in classrooms. Students with exemption badges can continue to use these. We will review these arrangements on Monday 21 June.
Students should now be in full school uniform, including wearing their blazer to school every day and a lilac school shirt under their jumper, CGA black sweatshirt, shalwar kameez or abaya. Students must not wear PE kit on non-PE days. Any choice of footwear can be worn until the end of this academic year as long as it is flat, covered and not above ankle height. From September, all students are expected to wear flat, plain black, leather-look school shoes. We recommend placing orders for any school uniform needed for September early to avoid items being sold out. The link for buying online is here.
We welcome donations of pre-worn uniform that is in good condition. Students can hand any pre-worn uniform items to their Head of Year or ESA in a plastic carrier bag. If you have any questions relating to school uniform, please email the CGA inbox putting 'uniform' in the subject line.
Breakfast is back
Free breakfast is back. Free, warm, buttered toast is now available at year group gates from 8.15am.
A range of PE clubs will resume from Monday 14 June from 3-4pm. Information about how to sign your child up for these clubs has been shared via MyEd. Alternatively, please click the links below. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Please ensure that your child has a water bottle every day, especially over the next few weeks, when it is important that students stay hydrated. There are water fountains on site where students can fill bottles.
