"Clapton is a welcoming place. You make great friends and memories.”
- Student, 2014
We provide an inspiring environment where students are safe, valued and accepted. We support all students to develop the skills and strategies they need to shape their future and flourish as independent people in whatever areas they choose.
The academy endeavours to be first for learning because we truly believe that learning improves lives. Our students become ever more knowledgeable and enterprising, with the ability to apply their aptitudes in a range of contexts. They develop personal qualities in order to become respectful, caring and responsible citizens.
Courteous behaviour is a priority and students conduct themselves with thoughtfulness and consideration, creating an extremely positive academy ethos.
Clapton Girls’ Academy continues to be judged by Ofsted as outstanding in all categories (latest inspection May 2013) and the academy is now part of the prestigious World Class Schools network.
Our academy enjoys tremendous success thanks to incredibly dedicated staff and wonderful students who enjoy, celebrate and value their achievements.
We provide for all of our students: wherever they are from and wherever they intend to go.
CGA would like to congratulate our Year 13 student Zoe who recently completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Zoe is the first ever student to complete the award to this level in the history of CGA. In order to achieve the gold award, Zoe had to complete several sections. This comprised of 12 months of volunteering, 12 months of a physical activity, six months learning a new skill and a five day expedition.
A huge congratulations to Ms Van Staeyen and Ms O'Shea for completing the Great North Run on Sunday 11th September.
Huge smiles at Clapton Girls’ Academy today with students achieving 75% A*-C grades in their GCSEs (well above the national average of 67%). 73% of students achieved the benchmark of A*-Cs with English and maths. 23% of all grades were A*-A, again above the national average of 21%.
