Vision for SEND

We endeavour to achieve maximum inclusion of all students whilst meeting their individual needs by providing learning opportunities and materials appropriate to individual interests and abilities of each student. This ensures that all students have equitable access to the academy curriculum. We focus on individual progress as the main indicator of success, understanding that progress looks different for each child and that it is also important to monitor and celebrate progress in non-academic fields such as social skills and emotional and mental wellbeing.

SEND Report

We offer a warm, nurturing learning environment to all our students and have a staff team dedicated to supporting vulnerable students. In order to ensure effective person-centred support, all our SEND students have an identified key person who is the main link for their family at the academy. Some students may also be involved in additional small group support (before and after school) and additional help during the school day, individually or in a small group, focusing on specific needs. We are proactive in ensuring that all students attend school and that any barriers to attendance are effectively overcome.
